Fall Funtime Ideas- Painting Pumpkins

One of my favorite activities to do with my boys is painting! Fingerpaint, pudding paint, traditional (using a brush that is), you think of it we paint it or with it. Last summer we painted with Blueberries!

Painting is art, art instills so much in young little minds. It helps with building confidence, gets their little brains ticking with creative thoughts, imagining some of the most elaborate scenes you would never think your toddlers could come up with. My 2 1/2 year old told me while painting his pumpkin he was making legs so it could pick up the princess; we had recently watched Cinderella and the carriage is actually a pumpkin.

Painting is also easier for smaller toddlers as opposed to coloring with markers or crayons (I would like to mention ALWAYS keep an eye on your babies when doing any type of arts and crafts)

And remember when they are finished with their art
